Mary MacKenzie - Trainee Interpreter
I have known Ray for just over a year, we first met when I was booked for an assignment and he was the co-worker. As soon as he introduced himself I felt very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed co-working with him. I have had the pleasure of working with him on many occasions since. We have become good friends personally and professionally and Ray is the sort of person that you can look up to and is an excellent role model to any Deaf or Hearing person. Ray will go out of his way to support and help anyone in whatever way he can. He has, and still is, encouraging and supporting me through my Interpreting Units portfolio. Ray is such a lovely person and makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable around him. Thanks for being you Ray! (July 2012)
Karen Hall - Registered Sign Language Interpreter
I met Ray when I was in the position of NW ASLI chair. He has always been a an active member of the region and has participated in local events as well as organising venues for us.
In discussions it was obvious that he is aware of current interpreting issues and contributed thoughtfully to discussions. I have found him a pleasant and professional member of the NW, knowing which domains he is comfortable in and not accepting assignments that he has had no training for or which he himself does not wish to undertake. I wish more interpreters had his professional attitude to accepting assignments. If Ray works for you, you can be guaranteed a friendly warm interpreter that is a pleasure to work with and knowledgable in the issues of interpreting and the needs of the Deaf community. (July 2012)

Robert Capleton – Senior Business Adviser @ Inclusive Access
I worked with Ray on a number of occasions recently, whilst working with his D/Deaf client on business development. As someone who had not experienced working with a Sign Language Interpreter before, I found Rays approach to be exceptional. His outstanding ability and obvious people relationship skills, made the facilitation between myself and the client very easy indeed. I have already recommended Ray to a number of my colleagues at Inclusive Access and hope to work with him again in the future. (August 2012)
Helen Fairs - PA to the Director @ National Football Museum
Ray Williams worked on the night of our launch, the culmination of many years hard work for the organisation, so this was an extremely hectic and significant occasion with all eyes on the stage. Ray was an absolute professional, charming and patient; I will definitely book Ray again for future events. (August 2012)

Rev Dr Hannah Lewis-Team Leader amongst Deaf People @ Diocese of Liverpool
Upon meeting Ray when he was booked for me by an agency I added him to my list of regular interpreters. His interpreting skills are excellent and his attitude professional and I have no hesitation in booking him for the demanding and sensitive situations that arise in my job as I can always trust him to deliver a first class service.
Marie Dimond - NRCPD Sign Language Interpreter, MVLP
As a fellow Registered Sign Language Interpreter I've found Ray to be an efficient and supportive co-worker, with whom you can feel at ease. In the past year we have worked together in a variety of situations including education, media and theatre. Throughout he has provided a BSL Interpreting service that is flexible, adaptable and professional.
